St Johns Hackney Churchyard Gardens
Well St Studio were appointed in 2023 to carry out planning permissions for alterations to the existing Churchyard Gardens forming the grounds of St Johns Church in Hackney.
Research was required to demonstrate that the processional pathway through the gardens and to the church entrance had been enclosed by large decorative gates, a feature that the Church organisation wished to reinstate in order to be able to manage the grounds.
Consent was granted in early 2024, and work is underway to develop the detail design for installation and associated landscape works in the grounds.
