Well St Studio is a design led office.

Drawing on over ten years in practice working for a number of award winning and design led offices, the studio has a wealth of knowledge and experience over a wide range of scales and typologies, encompassing: new build housing, alteration, extension and adaption of historic buildings, cultural and educational institutions work, and also small to medium scale commercial development.

Sustainability is a critical concern for the studio.  We continually explore material use and construction methodologies to inform our approach and focus on low environmental impact in recognition of existing site ecology and also wider environmental conditions.

The studio's work is characterised by a thoughtful and considered approach to architecture: careful attention to detail coupled with a close understanding and appreciation of craftsmanship, considered use of materials and construction techniques together with a close engagement process with client, construction team and consultant collaborators.

Architecture is a participatory practice representing the aims and aspirations, abilities and constraints within the problem of how to build or live within a particular place and moment, The practice draws on the interactions of these questions and connections, in how things meet and how we work together to inform a responsive and expressive architecture.
